Lab 5(a) Logic test Expert Advisor
Title: Steps to build Expert Advisor Robot.
Lecturer: Prof. Madya Miswan Bin Surip

Below are the step-by-step procedure on how to run LogicTest Expert Advisor

Step 1:
Open the webpage http://www.forexadvisor.com/ to start generating the Expert Advisor. Then click on the button 'Go to Expert Advisor Generator'. Then you will see the page as in step 2.

Step 2:
Fill in the fields as below.

a) Open Buy



b)Open Sell


c) Close Buy

d) Close Sell

e) Option: Set the Expert Magic Number according to your preference.

f) Expert Advisor Code: Fill in the MA_MACD_EA Mql4 name.


Step 3:
Open InstaTrader and click File > Open Data Folder

Next, clik on MQL4

After that, click on folder Experts

Click on your MA_MACD_EA file.


Step 4:
Click on the 'Navigator' and click 'Refresh'. Your Expert Advisor will pop up there.

Step 5:
Click on 'Strategy Tester' and it will come out at the down side of the InstaTrader.


Step 6:
Look on the left-side and you will the dropdown containing 'Expert Advisor' and 'Indicator'. Choose 'Expert Advisor'.

a) Expert Advisor: your expert advisor name (eg: MA_MACD_EA.ex4)
b) Symbol: Choose the desired currency pairing.
c) Model: Choose 'Open prices only'.
d) Tick on the box 'Use data'. As for the date, choose from 1/1/2017 until 'Today'.
e) Period: H1
f) Spread: Current

And you will get the output as below.


Step 7:
Right click anywhere and click on 'Save as Report'.

This is the report from all of the steps done.
